The Board of Directors identified the key priority areas with consultation with CEO to ensure the strategic focuses are relevant and can be operationalized at the ground level ensuring relevance, responsiveness, reflective of the environment and current for the members and communities NATSIHA represents.
The aim is to provide quality holistic services in a culturally appropriate manner to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities in the region, with the intent to raise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health status to a level equivalent to the wider Australian community through regional representation at the Local, State, National levels.
NATSIHA and its Members engage with mainstream specialists’ services to provide culturally safe services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. It is our aim to facilitate better service accessibility, greater choice and smoother pathways to improve the patient journey and care coordination of our people in our footprint.
